Abstract

This research combines a quantitative methodology with a qualitative one to outline trends in the informational consumption of youth, but also in the informational production of those beginning their journey in the journalism profession. It is observed that the younger generations prioritize social media over traditional media, although they are critical of their operating logics and demonstrate derived phenomena such as News Find Me, oversaturation, news avoidance, or disinformation.
