Abstract

The power inverter modules asociated to Electric Vehicles (EV) are equipped with IGBTs and Diodes working at high currents that can reach 500 A. The high currents increase power losses, which become in heat and reduce the eciency of the semiconductor. To ensure high power density power inverters reliability and ability is necessary to design very ecient cooling systems. In this paper power inverter modules dierent cooling options will be reviewed. Advantages and disadvantages of such systems will be highlighted.
