Abstract
In 1974, Japanese scientist Norio Taniguchi first used and defined the nanotechnology word. Since then, driven by advances in the electron microscope, this fascinating new technology has only just prevailed. Nanotechnology is about controlling matter on an atomic scale and using it will lead to tremendous development in many aspects of our lives in the future. Numerous studies in the field of medicine and pharmacy in recent years have examined the advantages of nanotechnology, being the results impressive. This article presents some of them, focusing mainly on metallic nanoparticles.
