Abstract
The game of rencontres was first stated by Pierre Rémond de Montmort (1678-1719) in 1708 under the name ‘Jeu du Treize’. The solution is based on combinatorics and calculus of probability. This work provides three ways of solution, and points out the features of each of them. The first two belong to experimental mathematics
