Abstract
The results presented in the summer of 2023 for the g-2 muon experiment have put the standard elementary particle model, the SM, in serious trouble by announcing that the discrepancy between experimental and theoretical values has taken on a value of 5σ. Such a high value of an "anomaly" usually indicates that the theoretical model is not able to explain the experimental measurements and needs to be changed. It is not uncommon nowadays for scientific results to be announced in press conferences, and the author expresses his concerns about this form of dissemination and briefly discusses them. Likewise, the author of this article bets that the announced result of the g-2 muon experiment will not turn the SM model upside down.
