Abstract
Additive manufacturing (AM), and particularly vat photopolymerization (VP), merges the freedom of 3-D geometry with high resolution and mold-free customization; yet material efficiency and end-of-life handling are still pressing challenges. This work surveys the landscape of additive-manufacturing technologies. Specifically, vat-photopolymerization techniques. In addition, the study outlines recent sustainability-oriented advances achieved within photopolymerization-based printing methods. Photo-active monomers obtained from renewable feedstocks lessen dependence on petroleum resources. Incorporating dynamic covalent bonds yields reconfigurable networks, so printed parts can be repaired, reprocessed, or chemically recycled.
