This paper analyses Supreme Court Ruling 580/2024, 5 February; ECLI:ES:TS:2024:580; which deals with the right of public health patients to decide the destination of umbilical cord stem cells and whether or not it is obligatory to sign a collaboration agreement and an agreement between public hospitals and private stem cell conservation centres.
