Laburpena
The following pages are an effort to arise some questions on several "il-ill" alternations, wich are identifiable through 15th and 16th century Biscayan texts, and occur specially in some words also borrowed by the Basque language. Without excluding a late graphic hesitation, it is proposed as an hypothesis that this phenomenum could be related to the palatalization of "il" in some Basque languages areas, even though it is to be determined whether it is a phonetic phenomenom or simply something due to lexical difussion.
