Abstract

In the years 2014, 2015, and 2022, we published articles on the toponymy of Gipuzkoa, Biscay, and Álava/Araba related to the legacy of the Roman heritage. In this new work, we offer a new version with the intention of clarifying and expanding our 2014 article, on the one hand, and commenting on the book Gipuzkoako herrien izenak. Lekukotasunak eta etimologia (2020), written by P. Salaberri and L. M. Zaldua, on the other. In our analysis, on this occasion, we discuss placenames both of Basque origin and other provenance.
