The translation of the Pseudo-Iliberritan canon texts: a reappraisal

Abstract
In this article we respond to the reply by M. Sotomayor and T. Berdugo (2008) to our comments and remarks (published in 2006) on the Spanish version which, in 2005, the mentioned scholars had made about some statements traditionally attributed to the so-called "Council of Elvira". In addition to the corresponding preface of the CCH, we take into consideration 27 canons transmitted by the CCH (c. 1, 3, 4, 5, 12, 14, 15, 16, 20, 24, 25, 26, 30, 31, 32, 35, 36, 43, 47, 48, 51, 53, 67, 72, 73, 77 and 81) and 2 listed in the EH (c. 17 and 54). Our response has the three following sections: 1) a list of presbyters, 2) some translations of the CCH, 3) some translations of the EH.
