Abstract
The presence of human figures with large heads depicted on one of the artistic panels of Legteitira 5 shelter generates different views on its meaning. Besides the strangeness of the composition, one must add that for the moment, this is a unique case in the iconographic repertoire of Western Sahara. The hypothesis of a possible link with head masks, within the symbolic context of a ritual cynegetic scene, could perhaps be considered an explanatory argument.
