Abstract

Twenty-seven years after the publication of the first synthesis on the Initial Upper Palaeolithic in the Basque Country, we intend to upgrade this thematic, according to the advances developed in the field work along these years. We value as a landmark the mentioned article due to several reasons, that are exposed in the text with certain detail. Due to different circumstances (that will try to expose), a growing gap between field activity and publication of results is detected, that if not corrected, could originate unpublished (and therefore, not productive) excavations.
