Abstract
The application of methods and techniques from Earth Science disciplines becomes essential in order to contextualise prehistoric deposits, since provides key information about ways of life and relationship between early societies and their environment. This work is a review based on geoarchaeological studies that have been developed over recent years in the Prehistory department of the Basque Country University. Furthermore yield critical assessment of the techniques applied according to the objectives and results achieved. Finally the geoarchaeological perspective of the ongoing projects is presented.
