Estudio arqueozoológico de la fauna de Arcaya (Álava)

Abstract
Fauna remains coming from the Roman site of Arcaya are studied on the present work. Predominance of domestic species is verified, to point out among them «cattle». The faunistic structure of this sample is compared with other Roman sites in the Norh of the Iberian Peninsula. The anatomic representation of bones, age and sex distribution aswell as osteometry of each domestic flock is also analyses to stablish profit use and explanation patterns of differente livestock components.
A paleontological study of the small wild species founded in the sample, Mammals and Birds, is also included.
