For ten fruitful years I. M. Barandiarán stayed at the University of Zaragoza, leaving in the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters the excellent and lasting legacy of an efficient updating of the archaeological methodology and the conceptualization of Prehistory that influenced decisively in the future of those studies and in the increase of the interest they drew.
