Abstract
We here present a panoramic review of the archaeological investigations which have been carried out in the central highlands of Tenerife, in the context of the Inventario Arqueológico del Parque Nacional del Teide, stressing the importance of the continuous occupation of the territory from prehispanic times until now, the funerary aspects, and the main economic activities performed.
