Abstract

This paper presents a new edition of the bilingual (Greek-Latin) epigraphic poem, which Moretti labelled as IGUR III 1427, discovered in Rome and already in a fragmentary state. As will be pointed out throughout the document, the readings proposed are hypothetical and are not intended to be absolute, for the remaining text is no more than a third of the original inscription. Furthermore, some issues related to the possible origin of the deceased individual, whose name is not witnessed in the preserved epigraph, will be discussed based on the information which can be inferred from this piece in its entirety.
