Abstract
The main goal of this paper is to try to conciliate the glottalic and non-glottalic interpretations of the Indo-European consonantal system from a Nostratic viewpoint by means of a tentative tonal system that in addition could account for different aspects of the phonological configuration of some Nostratic languages.
