Abstract

A lithic pendant and a decorated limestone plaque was localized in the cave site of El Arco B. Both pieces were recuperated in surface, without a stratigrafic context. The evaluation of raw material, the morphology, the support and pendant decorated, considered probably their cronology of the Early Upper Palaeolithic. Were not found parallelisms in the cantabric region for this decorated plaque, whereby was not possible to precise its cronology in the Upper Palaeolithic. The archaeological materials and the red paintings known, with the new evidence presented here, considered the cave site El Arco B as an important center of habitat and artistic creation.
