Abstract

The introduction of physico-chemical analyses to the study of palaeolithic rock art is openning new fields of knowledge about the technical procedures, chronology and conservation of parietal representations. C14 A.M.S. technique has been applied in Covalanas cave. The medieval dates of two little fragments of charcoal from black marks on the walls serve us to think about the so called «abstract-schematic art».
