   ^{I present here a new testimony of the Basque spoken some 150 years ago inthe Valley of Baztan; in Navarre. The text is a previously unpublished catechism found amongst the material gathered by Bonaparte. It is a good example of the speech of Elizondo and of the Baztan dialect, and is to be added to the other material on the same theme that I have already published (Baztango Euskalkiaz (1),University of Deusto, 1980, and Baztango Euskalkiaz: Elizondoko Doktrina Bat, ASJU, XX-3, 1986).}
