Abstract

This article presents data and notes on the diachronic relationships between Basque Languages and Latin-Romance Languages (Castilian above all) in the field of the lexicon at any time. Also examines, summarizes and evaluates the hole of the both previous and outstanding research about Basque and Romances Languages with the subsidiary support of computer corpora. The application of the philological method in order to describe the evolution of words like tristeza and tristura in different dialects of the Basque Language allows to reconstruct the Basque and Romance dialectalization process in order to stablish the history of these words in light of their common linguistic history.
