El tratamiento de la mitología en los escolios de Aristófanes

Resumen
Este artículo estudia el tratamiento de la mitología en los escolios de Aristófanes. En primer lugar, se presta atención al papel que juega la mitología en Aristófanes, dado que los escoliastas siempre van a aludir a esa disciplina para explicar las comedias del cómico ateniense. A continuación, se estudia la terminología que usan los escoliastas para referirse a las cuestiones míticas y, luego, se presta atención al valor real que aportan los escolios para el conocimiento de la mitología. Para terminar, se describen los contextos en los que se aglutina la exégesis mitológica, prestando atención a la racionalización de los mitos. Los escoliastas se sienten cómodos explicando cuestiones míticas dentro de los parámetros de un sistema en el que la explicación racional del mito está bien integrada.
