Abstract
In this paper we try to elucidate the exegetic typology of Jodocus Badius Ascensius through the analysis of his commentary on the Roman satirist Persius Aulus Flaccus. It is the humanist author himself who provides us with the criteria he has used in its composition, although, as will be seen, he has not always respected them.
