Abstract
This article deals with two visualisation experiences, the result of the meeting and collaboration between artists and scientists with the aim of responding to questions raised in the R+D+i project «Metamethod. Shared methodologies in artistic processes HAR 2010-18453 (subprogram Arte)», directed by Alicia Vela and developed by members of the Imarte team of the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Barcelona. The first proposal entitled «Your colour memory» is carried out in collaboration with the neuromuscular diseases unit and laboratory of the Hospital de Sant Pau Research Institute (Autonomous University of Barcelona, UAB). It analyses the capacity of scientific reasoning as an indisputable certain truth and the laboratory as a scenario where such argumentation germinates. The second study, entitled «The skin of the skin», through the visualisation of chromatographies and sensitive photopolymer plates, establishes an analogy with the ‘living façades’, built of biological concrete where lichens are the protagonists. The study arose from contact and various visits to the Botany Department of the Faculty of Biology of the UB.
