Jordi Savall, música en diálogo mayor

Abstract

This paper proposes an analysis of cultural projects that Jordi Savall —with the prominence of ancient music from all over— has promoted throughout the world for more than forty years. The purpose of these projects is to build a shared musical framework of beauty and spirituality that favours the encounter, knowledge, dialogue and the search for solutions to current religious, cultural or political conflicts, and the attainment of the harmony, brotherhood and peace.Savall transforms music underestimated or forgotten by different and foreigner into an instrument of cultural excellence, of a joyful encounter between cultures and religions, and of knowledge of others. Savall makes known and prestigious the culture of the other demonstrating its quality, beauty and sensibility and making it visible. That is, through concerts and recordings with compositions, instruments, songs, dances and performers from all over the world.
