Abstract

This article is a art practice based research. In order to tell the truth, I have decided to base the research in my personal experience; however, in order to have a common interest, I have compared this personal material with the reflections of other artists and thinkers. The area of interest of this research is the thought caused by art practice; as a result, the thoughts that occurred during the process itself are analyzed. The reflection is based on an animation called Kusikozu. Kusikozu is a short animated film completed in the year 2023 and the experiences, thoughts and decisions made during the process of this will be the starting point to embody the reflection. This short film is an experimental animation made in two dimensions and traditional techniques. In Kusikozu, drawings and transformations are very important; as a result, the concerns about the drawing and the events caused by its location in time are analyzed. The semantic content of the animation is not evaluated, the thoughts and events found in the process of doing this animation are. In this research, some aspects that appeared in the animation process will be developed: error, drift, transformation, trance, intensity, improvisation and paradoxical intention.
