Abstract
The beginning of the text addresses some problems in the city related to space speculation, pollution, and an unsustainable lifestyle and consumption. It proposes an alternative to moving away from this context through respect and coexistence with the elements of the past. Despite the inevitable growth of cities, it proposes a controlled expansion model in balance with pre-existing elements. In addition, the integration of rural components that proliferate in the bordering areas of cities, which are often ignored in urban planning, On the other hand, all these historical components are valued for their uniqueness and social and cultural value in any place. The recognition of these historical elements could also guide us in taking care of environmental characteristics. The degradation of natural resources in the territory is increasingly evident. Finally, an artistic practice resolved in an interactive application is shown to facilitate participation and consultation. Specifically, it is a cartography that shows the deterioration of the architecture linked to the historical irrigation culture of the city of Valencia and its metropolitan areas. They have always been areas of rich agricultural land and are currently threatened with extinction.
