Laburpena

Artikulu honek historian zehar bakeari buruzko ikerketa-lerro nagusiak eta horien lotura Erdi Aroko historiografiarekin aztertzen ditu. Aitzindari izan ziren egileen lanetatik abiatuta, xix. mendetik aurrera historialariek egindako lana baloratzen da, ikerketa-korronteei, metodologia-ikuspegiei eta jorratutako arazoei dagokienez. Bakea ulertzeko modu desberdinak eta denboran zehar izan duen bilakaera aztertzen dira, eta egungo joera historiografikoei eta iraganaren ulermenak dakartzan erronka berriei egiten dieten ekarpenari buruz hausnartzen da.
