With this modest contribution, we present new data in the hopes of shedding further light on Basque linguistic varieties in general, and on Biscayan in particular. Whilst Biscayan, geographically located in the extreme West of the Basque Country, has been regarded as so divergent from the other varieties that a different origin has even been postulated for it, we, on the other hand, find, certain characteristics to be curiously repeated in Biscayan and in other more or less distant varieties. To our minds, this confirms the basic unity of the varieties of Basque.
