Abstract
After a brief introduction to Biblical translations in general, and a reference to the concept of literalism, the author goes on to deal directly with the versions of the New Testament done by Haraneder, Harriet and Duvoisin. Basically, the aspects considered are the relation of each translator to his Basque predecessors, and the models followed by each one when writing his text. Apart from examining each translator's individual traits, the author also discusses Biblical translation as a genre, with its own rules and a unique physiognomy within Basque literature.
