Abstract

This article emphasizes the everyday difficulties in the management of school material, and the ultimate aim is to make various proposals that may improve the management of school material, both at the Basque Country and at the State level. Many families have difficulty paying for school material during compulsory education breaks, and the influencers of the Basque educational community emphasize that the swirling of resources and the lack of clear protocol leads to confusion and displacement. Likewise, many teachers have acknowledged that school material is a secondary issue and is not in the educational debate, and the complete settlement of the COVID-19 showed that it is very important to rethink school material, its influence, management and educational capacity within a few years after the pandemic began. We maintain the ideal principle that education can transform society, and that educational independence is indispensable to this end. It also requires educational policies to ensure every person enters to and maintains in education, whatever their socio-economic situation. The educational community should generally think about school material, redefine it according to social and educational changes, define the means of acquiring it, and reflect on the influence it has on society and the environment at present.
