Abstract

The starting point based on the recognition of the specific knowledge of art and its (potential) transmission, leads to the necessary research questions that the article tries to put on the table, based on various existing methods and paradigms. Contemporary antecedents that have taken art as the objective of (their) research, or have attempted to outline channels to research (in) art as raw material. The body of content runs through the intricacies of the ways of researching (not in use) in the face of creation, teaching or transmission, putting the emphasis on the methodologies whose differences, but also equivalent aspects, are susceptible to highlighting. Finally, how they are made the records, validations and subsequent 'evaluations' of said research, are relevant aspects for its adaptation to the agreed parameters of verification.
