Abstract

The purpose of this contribution is to examine the origins of the first organizations of teachers in Mendoza Argentina, which emerged in the late nineteenth and early twentieth century. The work begins with a political and pedagogical, national and provincial contextualization to locate the setting in which these associations were inserted, linked both to pedagogical trends and current policies. The author finally analyzed the characteristics that define them and that will be key in the development process of educational organizations in the province in the first half of the twentieth century.
