Abstract
The ‘Agustín Zancajo Osorio’ school was a representative standard of the national teaching instruction in Spain during the period 1940-1977. Based on the testimony provided by a group of pupils and teachers, this article focuses on its location: the ‘Gran Hotel ‘, a termal resort building in Alceda, and also on other aspects such as: school organization, school schedule, extracurricula activities, etc. Besides, it overlooks its daily life atmosphere and the reaction to the ideology of Franco regime.
