Abstract

This article focuses on herbariums as both heritage testimonies and pedagogical tools in the French educational context. After a diachronic presentation of the pedagogical use of the herbarium, it deals with the herbarium in heritage education.

Finally, examples of transdisciplinary, multilingual projects using local languages, such as Occitan, are presented. These projects show the interest in heritage education as well as in multilingualism and biodiversity education
