Abstract
Without a name there is no identity, it seems, and if the name changes, identity is lost. Or not. In order to think about this close relationship between name and identity, the text reviews my relationship with the name, in four moments. The first is when I thought about the strength of the name for those who changed it; the second is when I approached the catastrophe of names that dissociate themselves from their bodies; the third is when I came across names that, circulating, made phenomena, situations, people thinkable, who without them did not exist; the fourth is now when I believe that it is possible to exist without a name, without meaning, without language.
