Abstract
Chris Ware's production covers the entire field of Graphic Expression. His innovations to expand the narrative resources of his cartoons have motivated him to be one of the first comic artists to receive literary awards. Some of his creations have been exhibited in art galleries and museums. His passion for the American graphic heritage of the early 20th century has led him to study posters, magazines and other printed materials. This activity and his fondness for collecting have fueled his artistic production over the last three decades. This interest in graphic archeology in the Chicago area has led him to participate in various initiatives to protect and disseminate the historical heritage of this city. In recent years he has designed two exhibitions dedicated to the figure of Louis Sullivan and has published three books on the work of this architect.
