Abstract

Oral testimonies in general, and those of former students in particular, have been used in recent historical-educational studies, demonstrating their potential as sources for historicising school culture and practices. But beyond their valuable contribution to historical research, we believe that these testimonies should also be claimed as an intangible heritage of the school with broad possibilities for both didactics and public history. In this article we present a case study within the framework of a doctoral thesis, which will be used as an example to demonstrate the heritage benefits linked to the testimony of former students.
