Abstract
The soccer was a privileged place where national narratives were built. Today it is no longer an effective founder of identity narratives. The most popular sport in Argentina is no longer an area of anchorage of the national identity, but, on the contrary, it is an area where fragmentation and local identities rule. In the past, since the 20's until recent times, the national team's success and the import of players constituted effective national narratives. Since the 90's, and perhaps before, the soccer in Argentina became tribalized and it ceased to be a national identity mark to point out the signs of belonging to a small collective, a certain club, a neighbourhood, or a region. Recognizing this, I propose to analyze in this paper the conceptions about the national identity of a particular soccer club fans.
