Laburpena

1987ko Goiániako erradioaktibitate-istripua – "kritikotasun-gertaera" bat – "radioaccidentados" (erradiazioaren biktimak) kontzeptuaren aurkako identitate berri batzuen agerpena agerian utzi zuen; kontzeptu hori aditu nuklearren sistemak ezarri eta pertsona baten erradiazio-dosi handiei egindako esposizioan soilik oinarrituta definitua baitzegoen. Haien gaixotasuna eta sufrimendua ulertzeko bilaketan, kutsatutako gorputzen materialtasunari buruzko interpretazio berriak garatu dituzten gizarte-subjektu berriak agertu dira. Bere esperientzia subjektiboak kontatuz, beren identitateak biktima gisa kokatzen dituzte, kutsatutako gunearen gorputzean bizitako esperientziaren eta hondamendi horrekin eta oro har teknologia nuklearrarekin lotutako zenbait objekturi esleitutako esanahi berrien arabera.  Testuak gorputz biologikoaren, narrazioen, memoriaren, 'gauzen' eta identitate sozialen sorrera arteko elkarreragin horretan zentratzen da. Analisi historiko bat eskaintzen du, caesio-137 istripuaren etnografia anizvozikoan oinarrituta.
