Abstract

This article evaluates the interaction produced on Facebook between the four candidates for the Mexican presidency in 2018 and citizens. It analyses 729,198 comments, in a first level of study, and 813,748 in a second phase, from which discursive reciprocity was examined. The results show that the most active candidates in terms of publications were not the ones who generated the most interest and reciprocity from their followers. There is a digital dialogue that is varied in terms of themes, which includes negative language, and which takes place between citizens themselves within the political context analysed.
