Abstract
This research analyzes the ontological transformation of drawing in contemporary fashion design, proposing the concept of 'expanded drawing' as a framework to understand practices shifting from graphic representation to technological operativity. Through a qualitative multiple-case study methodology, three paradigmatic models are examined: morphological translation in Iris van Herpen, behavioral diagram in Hussein Chalayan, and logical interface in Anouk Wipprecht. The results demonstrate that drawing has evolved into a complex system capable of recording, processing, and visualizing bodily data (biometric, kinetic, and sociological). It is concluded that the integration of algorithms, mechatronics, and sensors redefines the designer's role from a creator of static forms to an architect of dynamic systems, positioning fashion at a critical intersection between art, engineering, and data science.
