Abstract
Francisco Antonio Nogales, a native of Herrera de Pisuerga, taught primary education in Castro between 1808-1816, when he decided to leave his post, dissatisfied with his stagnant economic situation, which contrasted, offensively for him, with the treatment received by the doctor and surgeon, who had recently arrived in the town.
