Abstract

The ongoing advancement of generative artificial intelligence, together with the emergence of interfaces capable of translating human gesture into algorithmically co-created images, is transforming the dynamics of the creative process. The study of human creativity as an affective, intentional, and evolving process reveals clear distinctions from the probabilistic nature of generative AI models, positioning human–machine collaboration as an emerging paradigm. Within this new creative context, artificial intelligence expands the exploratory space through multiple iterations, while the human remains the central agent, responsible for conceptual direction, critical judgment, and symbolic meaning. The generative AI platform Krea will be analyzed as a case study, whose real-time environment fosters organic and fluid creative processes, consolidating drawing as a vehicle of creative intention.
