Abstract
The Andalusian Education Museum (MAE) is located I Alhaurín de la Torre (Málaga), in the Guadalhorce valley, some 17 km from Málaga. Two collections are the starting point of this mu-seum, one from Jesús Asensi (mainly pedagogy books, children's and schoolbooks) and another one from José Antonio Mañas (mainly instruments and books for science education since the 19th century, and all king of schools objects and schoolbooks). The MAE’s collection brings together more than 5,000 books, 800 scientific instruments and 1,200 school objects some of great historic value. It has developed intense activity since its opening on November 30, 2019. This text looks at its background, organization, content and current situation.
