Abstract
This article presents the design and initial results of a research that extends to 2016 and aims to optimize the adaptation of dance in higher education to the evaluation procedures of the higher education at the Spanish universities, pursuing the consonance with the quality standards of the European Higher Education Area (EHEA). In this first phase of the research, 2014-2015, a legislative approach to dance studies together with the identification of the different profiles of teachers have been done.
