Abstract
The television serie of Javier Calvo and Javier Ambrossi’s La mesías (2023) can be approached through the exploration of the emotions that its transmedia narrative unfolds and deepens. Drawing on queer studies, it proposes an interpretation that examines the layers of artistic construction that this audiovisual narrative posits, using counter—normative imagery and intertextual audiovisual resources. The analysis is framed within a broader reflection on contemporary artistic practices that activate affect through dialogue with popular archives.
