Abstract

Historical studies on the National-Catholicism school have highlighted the great usefulness of school notebooks as a source of research. Having said that, we intend to analyse the opportunities offered by the corpus of notebooks in the UPV/EHU Education Museum to analyse the ideological elements of education under Franco's regime in the Basque Country. Thus, by means of a quantitative description of the collection, we have observed that out of 1585 notebooks, 386 belong to the Francoist period in the Basque Country and, from a brief description of the exercises found in the notebooks, we have been able to conclude that the corpus is sufficiently rich for the preparation of a thesis, although it is true that we must continue to complete and correct certain aspects of the database.
