Abstract

Throughout history, society has remained in a patriarchal scheme in which men and their achievements stand out, silencing the women who played an important role in their time and leaving them in the shade for years, decades and even centuries. In the field of Art it was not going to be different and, despite that women have had a constant presence as artists or crafts women throughout the History of the Art, it continues being noticed its absence in the museums and in the artistic encyclopedias relegating them back to a single role of muses or models of the male artists. In the area of 'the sound', despite being relatively new, women also found it difficult to demonstrate their creativity, talent and professionalism in this discipline that turns whoever enters into an 'entity bicephalous'. So with this article today we want to pay a small tribute to those women who fought to open a gap in this world of 'the sound' and that made for us a little easier to belong to it today.
